Job Summary

The Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading a team of network, system, and database engineers in overseeing the infrastructure operations for Penumbra's critical IT infrastructure and applications.

This includes implementation and operations management and support of a hybrid infrastructure environment spanning campus networking, on-premises data centers, private and public cloud services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure management, experience leading global technical teams, and a proven track record of delivering high-performance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure services policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage the security of the core infrastructure, including Network, systems, and databases and cloud applications technical components.
  • Plan and design infrastructure projects and proactively monitor their progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
  • Define program governance arrangements, ensuring quality and overall integrity of the infrastructure.
  • Ensure the delivery of new products and services, coordinating resource management across various internal teams and external teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years' of hands-on experience in deploying and managing IT infrastructure, including network, systems, and cloud environments.
  • Proven experience leading a global infrastructure engineering team, managing both people and technology.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, Azure, and VMware.
  • Experience in managing cloud infrastructure and security with an Architect level certification is a PLUS.
