Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Axelon. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and patients in the Eye Center. Your primary responsibilities will include performing preliminary screening examinations, directing patient flow, and maintaining instruments and equipment. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary screening examinations, including visual field tests, ocular motility tests, and tonometry tests
• Direct patient flow and obtain medical and personal data for patient charts
• Screen patients for conditions excluding ocular examination and arrange for laboratory and other tests as requested by physicians
• Calibrate and maintain instruments, including bio-microscopes, lensometers, and tonometers
• Sterilize and set up instruments for ophthalmic surgical procedures
• Assist with minor office surgery, laser treatments, and operating room surgery as required

Requirements:

• Good communication skills with patients and staff to provide information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Basic knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
