About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Database and Quality Program Coordinator. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient and effective daily operations of the Children's Hospital Neonatal Database (CHND) and the Vermont Oxford Network (VON) database initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and provide oversight for data abstraction, database queries, interpretation, and reporting for both VON and CHND.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on data abstraction and retrieval for the CHND database.
  • Develop and initiate strategies to utilize data in national and local quality improvement activities.
  • Develop tools and reports to be used within the electronic healthcare record for efficient data retrieval and to promote automated data abstraction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and 3-5 years of nursing experience, with neonatal/pediatric experience preferred.
  • A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • A current professional license in Kansas and Missouri, or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
  • Experience with data abstraction, quality improvement, and research.
