The resort is celebrated for its award-winning services and is set to expand its reach with a new location in the near future.
The Manager on Duty is responsible for overseeing the Front Office operations and managing all aspects of the Rooms Division in the absence of senior management. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of guest service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and coach staff to uphold five-star and five-diamond service standards across all guest service roles within the Rooms Division.
- Address guest-related concerns and manage emergency situations effectively.
- Ensure effective communication of guest issues and resolutions throughout the hotel.
- Welcome and assist returning guests and suite occupants upon arrival.
- Supervise Front Desk operations and provide guidance to Front Desk Agents.
- Manage winter ski package bookings and ensure proper ticketing.
- Oversee the inventory and service of arrival champagne.
- Train new staff to meet five-star service expectations.
- Prepare group folios and assist with room blocking as necessary.
- Conduct hotel tours to monitor service quality and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with other managers to address guest needs.
- Assist with emergency procedures and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Preferred: Degree in Hospitality Management.
- Required: Previous experience in hotel operations.
- Preferred: Supervisory experience in a hospitality setting.
- Required: Experience in Front Office operations.
- Proficient in computer systems and software.
This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and may involve lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs. Candidates should be prepared to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying conditions.
