Ability to maintain focus and deliver interpreting services effectively in a dynamic and high-pressure environment. Courtroom interpreting necessitates adaptability to speakers with diverse accents and varying speech rates.

Moreover, it is essential to engage professionally and collaboratively with all individuals encountered during the course of duties, alongside proficiency in utilizing office equipment such as computers, telephones, and copiers.

Travel within the jurisdiction is a requirement.


Essential Knowledge:

Familiarity with interpreter ethics and standards as outlined in the California Rules of Court, specifically Rules 984.4 concerning the Professional Conduct of Interpreters, as well as proper grammar usage.
