Position Overview

The Front Office Team Leader plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences through effective management of daily front desk operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front office activities to ensure compliance with safety and service standards.
  • Ensure efficient check-in processes and operational effectiveness.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and recognition to team members.

  • Address guest inquiries and concerns, escalating feedback as necessary.
  • Coordinate the completion of guest requests and concerns with relevant departments.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and labor management to optimize operations.
  • Conduct daily meetings with the guest services team to prioritize tasks and gather feedback.
  • Monitor team performance, offering real-time coaching and support.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and support areas.
  • Participate in recruitment and selection processes for guest service staff.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to create action plans aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Engage in performance management activities, including employee evaluations and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure operational quality by maintaining adequate inventory and addressing equipment issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a front desk or rooms division role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in hospitality or a related field.
  • Experience with property management systems.
  • Previous experience in a large family-oriented resort or hotel.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Capability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and twist as needed.
