Maintenance Mechanic I Job Description

Volt Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic I to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment, including mechanical repairs, building repairs, and cleaning.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
  • Patrol plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operating conditions.
  • Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in electrical or instrumentation maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to perform job duties while wearing a respirator.
  • Ability to lift and work overhead, to stoop and to crouch.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations of 175 ft.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of plant operational processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and care.
  • Mechanical experience.
  • Basic electrical experience.
  • Pneumatic experience.
  • Hydraulic experience.
  • Welding experience preferred.
  • Basic PC/PLC experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Manlift experience.
  • Knowledgeable of PPE's and Fall Protection.
  • Knowledgeable in Lockout Blockout (Machine Specific).
  • Proficiency with basic computer software.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $23-$25/hour.
  • Nights shift: 4pm-4am.
