Job Title: Diesel Technician/Mechanic

Job Summary:

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and other heavy equipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and that our vehicles are in top working condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and other heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Inspect and repair brakes, suspension, and other critical systems
  • Work with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required
  • Current CDL license with air brake certification required
  • Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems

Salary: $29.00 - $36.24 / negotiable

Hours: TBD by Branch Manager

Shift Differentials:

  • Second shift start times after 11am are eligible for $3.00 per hour shift differential
  • Third shift start time after 9pm are eligible for $4.00 per hour shift differential
