Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder in Albany, NY. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electronic problems, and repairing vehicles to ensure they are safe and reliable.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems
  • Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
Benefits:
  • Hourly Pay: $30.03 per hour
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
  • Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays You $1750 at 30 days and $1750 at 90 days
Work Environment:

Monday – Friday Weekends OFF

Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
