About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Facilities team at Uline. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standards for electrical and fire protection systems to meet Uline requirements and code compliance.
  • Specify and procure emergency generators, associated electrical equipment, and oversee delivery, installation, and commissioning.
  • Review subcontractor change order pricing for appropriate work hours, material quantities, and mark-ups.
  • Work with third-party design engineers on construction projects and coordinate resolution of any problems.
  • Review electrical and fire systems submittals to ensure they meet design intent and Uline standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in the specification and installation of new building systems.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and HVAC, electrical, and fire systems.
  • Familiar with building, fire life safety, ADA, and other applicable codes.
  • Experience with Data Center UPS, generator, fire protection, and associated systems.
  • Read and understand Architectural, MEP, Structural, and Civil plans and specifications.
