Power Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team at DVL Group, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work on exciting electrical control system design projects, including providing schematics and submittals for new and upgraded existing switchgear & generator control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee integrated electrical controls projects from start-to-finish, including working with sales engineers to define and budget projects, developing submittal drawings, and coordinating with outside switchgear vendors.
- Design and develop electrical control systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC programming.
- Work with Woodward generator control devices, SEL, GE, Schneider, Bender, and Basler protective relay devices, and interface with PLCs as required.
- Participate in site and construction coordination meetings, run factory witness tests, and provide ongoing service as required.
- Assist in closing documentation requirements, field check, test, startup, commissioning, and training as required.
- Several years of experience working with generators, switchgear, and control systems.
- A general understanding of electrical generation, distribution, and control systems, as well as control devices commonly utilized with them.
- Understanding of and experience with the National Electric Code, NFPA 70E, and OSHA electrical safety regulations.
