Hospital Admissions Representative Full Time

We are seeking a skilled Hospital Admissions Representative to join our team at Guidehouse. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration and admissions processes.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and verify demographic information, insurance benefits, and eligibility for patients.
- Assign the correct medical record and account number, ensuring accurate billing and clinical information.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with changing healthcare regulations, laws, and industry standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical setting or customer service environment, with data entry skills and insurance knowledge.
- Ability to type 35 WPM and maintain accuracy in data entry.
- Medical terminology knowledge or ability to learn.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days.
