About the Role

Auria is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator 3 - Linux Expert to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Linux-based systems, ensuring the smooth functioning of our software development environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Linux System Administration: Install, configure, monitor, manage, and maintain all Linux-based servers, ensuring they are running current versions of antivirus software with current virus definition files.
  • System Security: Implement security measures, including Linux shell scripting, Ansible playbook development and management, security-enhanced Linux, and Red Hat repository administration.
  • Backup and Recovery: Ensure all data is being backed up regularly and that the backup system is functioning correctly, periodically testing the backup system by restoring files.
  • Incident Response: Respond appropriately to any system security/virus incidents discovered.
  • Server Management: Install, configure, manage, and maintain Linux server-based applications, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain Linux server documentation, including processes and procedures.
  • Security Groups and User Accounts: Create, manage, and maintain security groups and user accounts.
  • Storage Systems: Monitor, manage, and maintain storage systems and devices.
  • System Enhancements: Recommend system enhancements, including servers, applications, storage, processes, and procedures.
  • Asset Management: Ensure all appropriate asset management functions are completed as required.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure all Linux servers are configured to comply with all appropriate security policies.
Requirements
  • Active Secret Clearance: Required to start, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Education and Experience: 6 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 4 years with a Master's degree, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8140 Certification: Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher.
  • Linux Experience: Must have experience with Linux.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance: Highly desired.
  • Security Technical Implementation Guides: Knowledge of STIGs, Multi-Factor Authentication implementation, OpenShift, OpenStack, VMware ESXI, QAS/VAS, Windows, Active Directory, Backup and Recovery, Containers and Container Orchestration products.
  • Agile Knowledge: Understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery: Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and its application to IT and IT products.
