Job Overview

As a key member of the infrastructure support team, you will serve as an experienced IT infrastructure specialist, executing standard procedures with a high degree of independence. Your responsibilities will encompass daily oversight of the production environment, effective communication of issues to both employees and IT management, and thorough analysis of problems or malfunctions to guarantee prompt resolution. Roles within this category involve proactive and preventative measures, including analytics monitoring, capacity management, system patching, and the replacement of outdated equipment.


Core Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Support: Deliver round-the-clock IT infrastructure assistance as part of the regular on-call rotation.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. Conduct troubleshooting and resolution on systems.
  • Maintenance: Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of technologies within the production environment. Actively monitor all platforms to ensure uptime, performance, and service levels are consistently upheld for all production systems.
  • Process Enhancement: Contribute to the development of new processes for improved support and training. Innovate automation solutions to minimize human error.
  • Testing: Engage in business continuity testing and execution.
  • Incident Management: Support incident management processes. Monitor ticket queues and resolve issues related to production performance, servers, and applications to restore the environment.
  • Compliance: Stay informed of and adhere to policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for this Position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in systems administration.

Minimum Requirements for Senior Position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in systems administration.

Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational requirements on a case-by-case basis.


Technical Skills and Knowledge:
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) with the ability to convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of regulations and best practices for technical deployments in the financial sector.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Advanced expertise in systems, security, systems administration, disaster recovery, and server management.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems/data security as it pertains to financial institutions or other regulated industries.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Certifications:
  • Preferred certifications include MCSE, MCSA, VMware VCP, CCNA, or similar credentials.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Occasional standing and walking.
  • Frequent sitting.
  • Rarely lifting or carrying items up to 40 lbs.
  • Frequent talking and hearing.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position will be determined based on various factors including relevant work experience, specific skills, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.


This position is eligible for a corporate bonus program based on company performance.
