About This Role

This position will be responsible for ensuring the accurate presentation of financial records by providing accounting support and preparing complex financial reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations. The team member will work directly with management and business partners throughout the organization to accomplish these tasks. Additionally, this team member will create and update accounting policies, procedures, and memos.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly close responsibilities, including journal entries, variance analysis, account reconciliations, and management inquiries, for assigned functional areas within Ace.
  • Prepare higher-level, more complex ad-hoc reports and analysis as assigned by management, requiring the Senior Accountant II to prepare analysis, interpret results, present findings, and recommend business or process changes.
  • Assist business partners with complex issues or functional areas within Ace requiring additional attention, working with stakeholders to understand the area, determine root causes, propose process improvements, and assist with implementation.
  • Lead or assist on projects designed to improve accounting efficiency or drive higher-quality deliverables, managing resources to ensure project goals are met on a timely basis.
  • Lead other projects or initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a financial/accounting capacity.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data mining skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Intermediate project management skills.
  • Ability to work with some supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully interact with management throughout the organization.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced level.
  • SAP or equivalent ERP system experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • CPA or In-Process.
  • SAP experience.
