Senior Tax Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team at The Inland Real Estate Group LLC. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for accumulating, analyzing, and processing financial accounting data for tax returns, estimated tax calculations, and financial forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accumulate, analyze, and process financial accounting data for tax returns, estimated tax calculations, and financial forecasts.
  • Assist in preparation and review of Federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations and partnerships.
  • Assist in preparation of tax provisions according to ASC 740.
  • Assist in gathering information and responding to notices from various tax authorities; assist in tax audits.
  • Gather financial information and prepare tax filings for various reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance-related deadlines are met.
  • Understand and research basic to moderately complex tax concepts and their application.
  • Communicate results with supervisor.
  • Assist with special projects, including planning initiatives and process improvements.
  • Analyze and interpret changes to Federal and state tax laws.
  • Participate in trade, industry, or professional groups.
Requirements:
  • Self-starter with high energy and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and professionalism.
  • Ability to inspire teamwork and responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA Certification a plus.
  • 3 plus years' experience in Federal and state taxation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
