Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative at our Washington, PA office plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external clients. This position requires collaboration across various departments to achieve collective goals and to stay informed about all company offerings to ensure superior customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing information, processing orders, and updating records.
  • Accurately process orders, confirming details such as delivery addresses, contact information, product specifications, pricing, payment methods, and obtaining purchase orders.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary reports, spreadsheets, and documentation as required.
  • Review and process previous day’s driver activities, ensuring all documentation is complete, confirming payments, and generating import numbers as needed.
  • Manage new customer inquiries, ensuring timely and professional handling of documents and paperwork.
  • Process payments received through various methods, including cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Oversee recurring delivery orders, ensuring that delivery schedules are accurately set up in the system.
  • Perform general office tasks, including maintaining records of received and delivered packages, filing, updating documents, mailing statements, and assisting with special projects.
  • Conduct outbound calls during off-peak seasons to engage potential new customers and inform existing clients about current promotions.
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable collections by reviewing accounts and contacting customers as necessary.
  • Responsible for opening and closing office operations, including cash drawer management and securing the premises.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Physical capability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.
