Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Discussion Groups and Activities: Lead and participate in group discussions and activities to promote patient engagement and recovery.
  • Monitor Patient Behavior: Observe and report on patient behavior, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Conduct Handbook Orientation: Provide new patients with a comprehensive orientation to our facility and programs.
  • Search Patient Belongings, Rooms, and Person: Conduct thorough searches of patient belongings, rooms, and person to ensure a secure environment.
  • Liaise with Clinical Staff and Patients: Act as a liaison between clinical staff and patients, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Assist with Patient Assessment Forms: Help patients complete assessment forms to ensure accurate and comprehensive information.
  • Assist with Phone Calls to Family Members/Friends and Referral Sources: Facilitate communication between patients and their loved ones, as well as referral sources.
  • Assist with Crisis Intervention: Provide support and guidance during crisis situations, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Transport Patients to Meetings: Accompany patients to meetings and appointments as needed.
  • Document Patient Involvement in Progress Notes: Record patient participation and progress in progress notes.
  • Collect Urine and Complete Paperwork for Drug Screening: Collect urine samples and complete necessary paperwork for drug screening.
  • Provide Post-Discharge Contacts/Referrals: Offer support and guidance to patients after discharge, as directed by therapists.
  • Monitor Medication Taken by Clients and Document Accordingly: Observe and record patients' medication intake, if applicable.
  • Work in the Gift Shop: Assist with gift shop operations, if applicable.
  • Manage Menu and Nutrition Needs: Coordinate meal planning and nutrition services, if applicable.
  • Manage Donations and Patient Requests: Oversee donation and patient request processes, if applicable.
  • Monitor Smoke Breaks in the Hospital Setting: Supervise smoke breaks in the hospital setting, if applicable.
  • Complete Intake Paperwork: Assist with intake paperwork as needed.
  • Monitor Clients' ADLs: Observe and record patients' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues.
  • Remain on Duty until Relieved: Ensure patient safety and well-being by remaining on duty until relieved.
  • Attend Mandatory GRC Trainings and In-Services: Participate in required training and in-service programs to maintain knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Requirements
  • Some College Preferred: Having some college education is preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record: Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to transport patients.
  • PA Criminal History Record Check: Pass a Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Check.
  • PA or State Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances: Obtain Pennsylvania or state child abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
  • CPR/First Aid Training: Complete CPR/First Aid training.
  • Pass Drug Screen: Pass a drug screen.
  • TB Testing: Pass tuberculosis testing.
  • Mandatory Staffing Coverage: Be available for mandatory staffing coverage to ensure a safe treatment environment.
  • Remain Awake and Alert while on Duty: Remain awake and alert while on duty to ensure patient safety.
  • At Least 18 Months in Recovery from Substance Use Disorder: If living a life of recovery, attest to at least 18 months in recovery from substance use disorder.

  • Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center: Work in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center environment.

  • Moderate Mental Demands: Face moderate mental demands to respond to patients' simultaneous requests.
