POSITION SUMMARY


The Clinical Systems Integration Specialist II is responsible for delivering expert support, installation, troubleshooting, and configuration of hardware, software, and networks associated with medical devices.

This role encompasses hands-on design, development, and testing of workflows and functionalities; identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities; participating in system upgrades; supporting application users; and assisting in the execution of all Clinical/Biomedical device integration projects and initiatives as required.


Responsibilities:
Technical


Facilitates the integration of existing medical devices, including but not limited to ventilators, anesthesia machines, patient monitoring systems, and dialysis equipment.


Collaborates with biomedical device vendors, middleware providers, and internal technical teams to ensure device connectivity and data accuracy.


Oversees the software lifecycle for middleware solutions, ensuring that both servers and endpoint hardware are updated with the latest software and necessary patches.


Evaluates current and future needs to plan infrastructure that aligns with organizational growth.


Works closely with the Epic team to support the addition of new devices and troubleshoot issues related to incoming vital signs data.


Analysis and Solution Definition

Engages with Systems Managers, Directors, and the Project Team to gather, analyze, and document business operations and workflows.

Quickly grasps the business challenges and data issues faced by the organization and industry.

Assists in the creation of system documentation, user manuals, and training materials for the application suite.

Participates in testing efforts, ensuring that issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved promptly.

Analyzes new functionalities in releases to assess impacts and opportunities.

Project Execution


Assesses current processes to identify gaps and enhance application usage for improved departmental and organizational efficiency.


Makes recommendations, reviews, and tests changes, enhancements, and new releases as assigned.


Ensures that test scripts are created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.


Assists in defining, testing, and implementing interfaces with third-party systems, developing effective end-to-end workflows around these interfaces.


Communication

Facilitates team and client meetings.

Demonstrates the ability to communicate sensitive information tactfully.

Collaborates effectively with colleagues and across teams to achieve objectives.

Problem Solving

Provides ongoing analysis, maintenance, and technical and functional support for systems across the organization.

Offers technical guidance to identify system deficiencies and analyze problems and solutions.

Exhibits confidence and extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when addressing business challenges.

Collaborates with business stakeholders to introduce innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
A degree and/or licensure in a relevant business area is preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

A minimum of three years' experience in operational or IT applications support for the relevant business area.

At least two years of experience in IT implementation and support of applications, hardware, or networking.

Experience with workflows and operations within a healthcare setting is essential.

Familiarity with designing and supporting Epic systems and integration with third-party applications is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A strong understanding of application technology, architecture, databases, and system design.

Proven ability to comprehend business issues and objectives and translate them into application solutions.

Participation in after-hours support On-Call rotation is required.

Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve goals.
