Job Overview:
As a Sales Associate, you will drive sales, merchandising, and distribution objectives by supporting the implementation of business strategies and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Effectively promote, rotate, and display the Columbia Distributing product range across all designated accounts.
2. Provide route support for Sales Representatives as needed.
3. Engage respectfully and maintain communication with internal departments, suppliers, and clients.
4. Develop and uphold a comprehensive understanding of industry knowledge: including beer, non-alcoholic beverages, food trends, market dynamics, etc.
5. Implement themed programs to align with supplier and company standards.
6. Ensure timely submission of all required reports, preplans, trackers, surveys, and expense documentation.
7. Manage inventory costs in accordance with company policies.
8. Comprehend and assist with MVP Standards.
9. Monitor competitor activities and communicate strategic insights.

Essential Competencies:
- Strong accountability and ownership.
- General knowledge of industry products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Capability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Work Environment:
Indoor work with frequent movement in customer locations.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and using hands and wrists effectively.

Use of Equipment:
- Hand truck, six-wheeler, manual pallet jack, box cutter.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Driving is a requirement.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time role; workdays and hours may vary and could include weekends.

Travel Requirements:
Must be able to travel throughout the day to various customer accounts.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance are required; candidates must be at least 21 years old.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 1 year of experience in beverage industry sales.

Compensation:


Compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications, and location. Employees and their families are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Enrollment in the company's 401k plan is available.

Employees are entitled to 80 hours of vacation annually and 7-8 paid holidays throughout the year (depending on location).
New hires may qualify for incentives, bonuses, and annual bonuses.
