Job Title: Retail Sales Clerk

At Smart Foodservice Stores LLC, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Clerk to join our team. As a Retail Sales Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide fast, easy, and efficient service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, front end, and restrooms.
  • Assist with receiving inventory shipments, stocking shelves, and rotating product to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment.
  • Assist with price changes, inventory counts, and other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
  • Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible hourly schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency utilizing general office equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
Physical Qualifications:
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities for described length of time:
  • Stand continuously (67-100% of the time)
  • Walk continuously (67-100% of the time)
  • Lift 1-10 lbs (sedentary) continuously (67-100% of the time)
  • Lift 11-20 lbs (light) continuously (67-100% of the time)
  • Lift 21-50 lbs (medium) continuously (67-100% of the time)
  • Lift 51-100 lbs (heavy) frequently (34-66% of the time)
  • Lift over 100 lbs (very heavy) occasionally (1-33% of the time)

Compensation for this role will depend on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
