US Defense Business Development and Sales Director Transformation Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced US Defense Business Development and Sales Director to lead our team in achieving sales and growth targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leading and managing equivalent sales teams, with at least 15 years of aerospace experience.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development Strategy
- Broaden our US military business opportunities funnel by identifying and implementing effective strategies.
- Analyze market trends and customer dynamics to inform product, account, and capture strategies.
- Build and maintain excellent customer and industry relationships to drive growth.
- Sales Performance Management
- Set and achieve sales performance objectives in the US military market, including setting sales, order intake budget, and strategic plans.
- Maintain a regular sales forecast and key opportunities report using CRM.
- Develop and execute special sales campaigns aligned with corporate strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support corporate strategy by reporting market trends, assessing key customers' strategies, and providing recommendations.
- Leadership Experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing sales teams in challenging markets.
- Aerospace Expertise
- At least 15 years of aerospace experience, preferably with US DoD customers and contracts knowledge.
- Skillset
- Strong network within US DoD key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of US DoD procurement process and regulations (FARS/DFARS).
- Experience in military platforms (fixed and rotary wing, fighter, UAV) and avionics, connectivity, satcom product lines.
- Excellent negotiation skills, sales process, forecasting & planning, and bid & contracts knowledge.
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $160,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
