Welcome to Targa Resources, a leading midstream energy company. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Midstream Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Display exceptional integrity, accountability, and initiative in all tasks
  • Manage multiple development projects with strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Communicate complex tasks effectively to stakeholders, including internal and external teams
  • Design and specify mechanical equipment, including piping systems and relief devices
  • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management and industry regulations
  • Develop process simulations using ProMax software and other industry tools
  • Create scope of work packages and track costs/schedules
  • Knowledge of midstream operations, including natural gas processing and industry regulations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactively seek learning and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Review assets for safety and reliability enhancements, with a focus on continuous improvement

Minimum Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in natural gas processing and midstream operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time, with flexibility to work in a variety of environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in natural gas processing and midstream operations
  • Experience with acid gas handling equipment and process simulation applications
  • Proficiency in rotating equipment and project engineering/project management
  • 4+ years of experience in project engineering/project management, with a focus on midstream operations

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds, with the ability to work in a variety of environments
  • Work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment, with the ability to adapt to new situations
  • Able to work in close quarters, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Follow Personal Protective Equipment guidelines, with a focus on safety and reliability
  • Various physical requirements, including standing, walking, and lifting
