Facilities Engineer / Specialist II

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Assess and provide feedback on engineering tasks executed both internally and by Contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory mandates.

Facilitate the effective implementation of engineering and design processes that align with the objectives and procedures of the team. Ensure precise and timely communication among team members and other company departments regarding engineering activities, progress, and challenges. In addition to technical expertise, candidates should exhibit strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to Level 1 duties and responsibilities, Level 2 includes:

  • Serve as the Area engineer for operations within a designated plant sector.
  • Collaborate with fellow Facilities engineers, Site Contacts & Lead Engineers to support the assigned operational area while gaining knowledge and exposure to other sections of the plant.
  • Conduct Monthly Facilities Surveillance based on area-driven Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide operational support for modifications, repairs, and adjustments of all plant pressure equipment, including piping, static equipment, rotating machinery, tanks, etc.
  • Offer engineering support during shutdowns.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design standards, specifications, codes, and relevant safety criteria.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent shifts in priorities.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of software applications.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, particularly in technical and business contexts.
