Job Title: Human Resources Director

Options Counseling and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to lead our HR team in providing comprehensive HR services, staff relations, and training and development for our team of approximately 200 employees across 13 offices.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Director will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support the agency's goals and mission. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, leading the HR team, and providing guidance and supervision to ensure effective HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the agency's goals and mission

  • Lead the HR team and provide guidance and supervision to ensure effective HR operations
  • Develop and oversee compensation structure, ensuring compliance with pay equity laws
  • Manage the annual benefits bid process and ensure compliance with benefits-related policies
  • Lead training on employment policies, benefits, and inclusive practices, fostering a positive, supportive work environment
  • Provide support and technical advice to supervisors on employee matters, including hiring, progressive discipline, and termination processes
  • Investigate complaints, grievances, and provide guidance on resolutions to the CEO
  • Manage recruitment, application, and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for new hires
  • Maintain up-to-date HR policies, including the Employee Handbook and supervisor manuals, and ensure clear documentation across the organization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is highly desirable
  • Minimum of five years in human resources, including at least two years of supervisory experience
  • Effective leadership within an integrated leadership team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage effectively with staff, clients, and community partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Commitment to confidentiality and alignment with Options' vision, mission, and values
