Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Analysis and Reconciliations: Execute various accounting functions including account analysis, reconciliations, and preparation of reports. This encompasses prepaids, bank accounts, intercompany accounts, depreciable assets, leases, and more.

    Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and rectify differences to ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Report Preparation & Filing: Manage unclaimed funds processes and reporting.

    Prepare personal property tax work papers as required by the Tax department to meet proper tax reporting obligations.

    Generate necessary reports for the US Census Bureau, identifying appropriate data sources across multiple systems to report accurate information.

  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and review precise fixed asset records. Oversee acquisition, transfer, and disposition activities to ensure timely recording in the relevant systems/ledgers. Establish and manage related depreciation accounts and both internal and external fixed asset schedules. Evaluate supplier invoices to confirm appropriate sales tax payments.
  • Supplier Master Data Maintenance: Uphold and verify supplier master data across various ERP systems for new suppliers and modifications to existing suppliers, including essential supplier information, payment methods, and applicable Form 1099 reporting details.
  • Special Projects: Conduct specialized studies and tackle specific challenges and process enhancements as identified by department leadership. Advise other departments on the potential impacts to Accounting when new initiatives are considered or implemented. Represent the accounting department on cross-departmental teams to foster company-wide improvements.
  • Assistance to External Auditors: Support external auditors during year-end procedures by reconciling and preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and providing explanations for supporting materials.
  • Miscellaneous Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
2-4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage in various accounting-related activities to advance projects and objectively assess accounting processes and financial statement risks.

Proficient computer skills to navigate multiple accounting systems.
