Job Opportunity

The Matian Firm, APC is seeking a highly skilled Legal Supervisor to join our Immigration team in Phoenix. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Legal Department Manager to provide expert guidance on legal updates, departmental goals, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of paralegals, assign projects, prioritize tasks, and advise on conflict resolution as needed.
  • Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between attorneys, paralegals, and management to ensure projects are completed accurately and timely, and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Immigration Practice: Participate in all aspects of Immigration practice, including client relationship management, case review, analysis, preparation, and filing of non-immigrant petitions.
  • Client Complaints: Address client complaints, following the proper Complaint/Cancellation protocol established by the Firm.
  • Productivity and Staffing: Manage and monitor monthly reports for productivity and staffing needs.
  • Department Meetings: Conduct weekly department team meetings to review priority cases and deadlines with the team.
  • Paralegal Productivity: Audit paralegal productivity to ensure department performance and goals meet Firm standards.
  • Casework: Occasional casework with prior approval from Supervising or Managing Attorney.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three to seven years of experience with immigration law.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish with high proficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including good communication skills, listening skills, and attitude.
  • Strong case management, legal research, and legal writing skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to zealously pursue new and untested legal theories.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work under pressure required.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
