Position Overview

The role of a Forensic Structural Engineer encompasses investigative responsibilities across various environments, including fieldwork, laboratory settings, and office analysis. This position is dedicated to identifying the underlying causes of structural failures, focusing primarily on the essential framework and exterior elements of buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough field investigations and hands-on failure analyses.

  • Engage in technical research to support investigative efforts.
  • Apply engineering theories and principles to practical scenarios.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Must hold a valid Professional Engineer license.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check as necessary for the role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position requiring availability during standard business hours. Flexibility in scheduling may be accommodated.

Physical Requirements

The position involves a mix of fieldwork, travel, and office duties. Regular activities include driving, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role may also require navigating uneven terrain and working in various weather conditions.

Travel Expectations

Regular travel is a component of this position, including potential overnight stays.
