Lead Engineer for Stress Analysis on Airframe Projects.

Accountable for the daily execution of tasks, management of timelines, and oversight of budgetary constraints for the Mechanical Engineering Team at Butler America Aerospace LLC, located in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position necessitates proficient communication skills for presenting updates to executive leadership regarding program progress and strategic plans.

The individual will be expected to proactively identify challenges and collaborate with team members, program leadership, manufacturing, and other organizational units to devise effective solutions.

Additionally, the role will involve assisting in program planning and the creation of performance metrics and visibility charts to facilitate management reviews.

A comprehensive understanding of significant aircraft structural modifications, flight testing, and relevant FAA certification processes is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading and engaging in the design and development of commercial aircraft.
  • Capability to manage (Plan, task, and status) a team of 24 analysts.
  • Experience in presenting complex program and technical challenges to senior management.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value (EV) principles is advantageous.
  • Strong foundation in classical hand analysis is required.
  • Preferred knowledge of aircraft structural assembly, including material compatibility, fasteners, standard components, and finishes.
  • Experience in structural testing and validation is preferred.
  • Background in modified aircraft flight testing is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with FAA Airworthiness Standards and Documentation, FAA Original Design Approval (ODA), and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) is preferred.
