Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure guest rooms are maintained in a clean and inviting manner, adhering to brand standards and property requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Change bed linens as necessary and make beds.
  • Vacuum carpets and mop/clean bathroom floors.
  • Dust all surfaces including furniture, picture frames, lamps, TVs, and dressers.
  • Remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, shiny surfaces, and windows.
  • Thoroughly clean bathroom areas, including showers, sinks, floors, and toilets.
  • Replace used amenities and empty trash bins.
  • Promptly report any damage or maintenance issues discovered in guest rooms.
  • Immediately report any missing items in rooms and personal items found in vacant rooms.
  • Notify the Director of Housekeeping & Laundry regarding roll-aways or cribs in rooms for collection and storage.
  • Safeguard the pass key and ensure it is returned daily.
  • Turn in all lost and found items to the Director of Housekeeping & Laundry without delay.
  • Maintain a well-stocked and tidy cart.
  • Properly dispose of soiled linens and trash.
  • Report to the Director of Housekeeping & Laundry regarding:
    • No luggage present
    • No service required
    • Any unusual occurrences
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping with any additional cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Understand and be able to execute all tasks related to Emergency Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role. A grade school education is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hotel setting is desirable.
