Job Summary

Catholic Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Endocrinology Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical care to patients admitted to our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide inpatient consultations Monday through Friday, 8 AM-4 PM, with a focus on completing consults within 24 hours and responding to stat consults within one hour.
  2. Participate in weekend call for critical need consults only.
  3. Develop expertise in managing insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring, and diabetes management, as well as caring for post-surgical cardiac and bariatric patients and OB/GYN endocrine specialty needs.
  4. Engage in direct contact and consultation with patients and their families, friends, advocates, and others to ensure effective communication of patient status and care plans.
  5. Maintain accurate and timely completion of all clinical and professional records and documentation to ensure optimal patient care and compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements.
  6. Contribute to creating a positive work culture within cross-departmental teams and align this work with other Hospital Medicine initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements: APRN or PA-C license and a Federal DEA registration.
  • Preferred experience: Two years' experience practicing in Endocrinology or Endocrinology Fellowship.
  • Advanced Practice Provider will maintain a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New Hampshire, federal and state prescriptive authority, and will obtain and maintain board certification.

  • Clinical training and skills as mandated by respective APRN or PA-C board.
  • Ability to work with electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work with others in a cooperative, collaborative manner and within a cross-cultural situation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
