ROLE CONTRIBUTIONS:
Faculty members play a crucial role in utilizing their knowledge to provide educational services to students by:
- Facilitating student learning and professional growth.
- Engaging in personalized interactions with students.
- Implementing diverse assessment and evaluation techniques to support students in need of academic assistance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Course Material Review:
- Analyze the Course Control Document (CCD).
- Evaluate lesson plans in alignment with the syllabus.
- Assess exams, quizzes, and assignments using available educational technologies.
- Collaborate with fellow nursing faculty to identify and secure necessary resources.

Course Delivery:
- Uphold professional standards in nursing education.
- Adhere to departmental guidelines for classroom management and technology use.
- Conduct didactic, laboratory, and clinical sessions as required.
- Facilitate class discussions and administer assessments.
- Maintain rigorous grading standards for assignments and exams.
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies to effectively convey course content.
- Utilize assessment techniques to identify student learning needs.
- Regularly update grade records and enforce institutional policies.

Simulation Activities:
- Assist in the upkeep of equipment and supplies.
- Integrate technology into evidence-based simulation scenarios.
- Apply current research to enhance simulation experiences.

Student Monitoring:
- Track student progress and provide follow-up support.
- Maintain daily attendance and enforce attendance policies.
- Communicate with students who miss classes.
- Report attendance and behavioral concerns to the Nursing Program Director as necessary.

Student Advising:
- Address student inquiries and refer to Student Services when needed.

Grade Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate grade records.
- Comply with departmental grading policies.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Nursing Program Director.
- Submit evaluations punctually.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee equipment and supply needs and communicate with the Nursing Program Director.
- Maintain classroom and laboratory environments.
- Keep relevant licenses and certifications up to date.
- Participate in professional development activities to meet state continuing education requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered State RN license or a valid Compact State RN license for practice and teaching.
- Hold a graduate degree from an accredited institution or commit to obtaining one within five years of initial full-time employment.
- A minimum of four years of practical nursing experience.
- At least two years of clinical experience as a registered or advanced practice nurse in the relevant field.
- Experience in utilizing and instructing simulation activities.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and interact professionally with students and colleagues.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The role demands physical capabilities typical of a professional office and educational environment, including effective communication, classroom presentations, and mobility between various locations.
Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential for classes and clinical sessions.

WORK SETTING:
This position operates within a professional office environment characterized by moderate noise levels and a controlled climate.
Travel may be necessary for clinical assignments.

Faculty members are responsible for delivering high-quality educational services, which involves engaging students, promoting learning, and exemplifying professionalism to ensure students are well-prepared for their careers. Collaboration with the Dean, Program Directors, and fellow faculty is essential for maintaining consistent and high-quality course delivery.
