Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our Field Services team in Virginia Beach, VA. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct desk-side support to our customers, troubleshoot and repair IT devices, and assist junior technicians with resolving complex issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident Management: Manage the resolution of customer tickets according to established Service Level Requirements (SLRs).
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Properly troubleshoot and resolve user computer issues, including hardware and software-related concerns.
  • Collaboration and Support: Assist other technicians in resolving complex issues and ensure customer requirements and guidelines are identified and completed within the timeline set by the customer.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in IT Enterprise Operations, including experience with Microsoft Windows OS, version 10, and HP Service Manager, Remedy, or similar Service/Help Desk ticket management software.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service skills and communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
Requirements
  • Citizenship: US Citizen.
  • Clearance: DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Education and Experience: HS diploma with 4+ years of prior relevant experience and valid DoD 8570 IAT Level II: Security+ or higher Certification.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs for up to a 100 feet at a time, lift 25 lbs vertically using ladders, and work in confined spaces, noisy environments, and stand or sit for 8 hours at a time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills, self-motivated, and self-directing with ability to manage and prioritize own work and that of their team.
  • Technical Skills: Analytical thinking, ability to think out of the box, and ability to effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
