About the Role

Crain Communications is seeking a highly skilled Billing Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations department, you will be responsible for performing order entry, invoicing, and reconciliation of billing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain all sales orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
  • Perform revenue validation activities for all invoicing activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, maintain, and reconcile weekly sales bookings reports, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of assigned publication(s) full product suite, staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Accounting, and Financial Planning & Analysis, to ensure seamless execution of financial operations.
  • File and maintain central files for all order entry and sales invoicing, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Experience in analyzing information, issues, situations, and procedures to develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in using order entry and/or billing systems in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with ability to interact with internal and external customers in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain a professional demeanor in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 2-4 years of previous order entry/billing and/or accounting-related experience (internships considered as experience).
  • Experience in the media or advertising industry.
  • Knowledge of Adbase, Naviga Ad, or similar tools.
