Job Title:
Program Officer, Workforce Development

Job Summary:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Officer, Workforce Development to support the Economic Empowerment programs in 30 US cities and intermittently in Europe and on other international projects. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the economic empowerment team, manage projects, develop program tools, coordinate activities with internal and external partners, collect and report data, and support special events and trainings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects, develop project plans, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results
  • Develop and utilize project management tools, such as work plans, communication tools, and program tracking tools
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external partners, including IRC colleagues, non-profits, industry partners, and government partners
  • Collect and report data for specific economic empowerment initiatives
  • Support special events, conferences, and trainings

Requirements:
  • University degree in a relevant social science, public administration, community development, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in implementation or administration of social service, economic development, or related programming in a non-profit or public context
  • Demonstrated experience using project management tools, such as work plans, finance trackers, and communication tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing high-quality program tools for diverse populations
  • Demonstrated experience managing program data in a non-profit environment
  • Experience with Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) and advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines
