Objective:
Leads the implementation of established category strategies at a local level. Oversees the Operational Procurement Team. Identifies and facilitates opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, and enhancements in service delivery. Provides guidance and direction to the local team to implement procurement strategies that achieve these objectives. Cultivates strong and effective relationships with internal stakeholders, the local/regional category team, and external suppliers to establish a framework for executing procurement initiatives and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the execution of the defined category strategy locally, collaborating closely with the Local Category Manager and Divisional Procurement team.
- Identifies and facilitates opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, and service enhancements. Offers guidance and direction to the local team to implement procurement strategies that achieve these objectives.
- Drives annual budgeted cost savings, margin enhancements, and other procurement benefits utilizing best-in-class procurement practices.
- Delivers monthly reports on savings, benefits, key initiatives, and projects through the development of an effective Procurement Management dashboard (KPIs).
- Aligns procurement and portfolio strategies with overall business objectives.
- Accountable for delivering the procurement category strategy and plans across all channels, supported by sourcing strategy, supplier negotiation, selection, and evaluation.
- Manages supplier relationships and takes actions to deliver value through growth.
- Responsible for achieving profitability targets.
- Analyzes and interprets results, trends, and the business and market environment to drive procurement performance.
- Applies advanced procurement principles to achieve optimal cost outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
- 8 years of experience in procurement.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Demonstrated willingness to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
