Job Title: Procurement Director

CRH is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Director to drive the execution of defined category strategies on a local level. As a key member of the Operational Procurement Team, you will be responsible for managing the team and identifying opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance, and service improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the execution of defined category strategies on a local level.
  • Work closely with the Local Category Manager and Divisional Procurement team to achieve procurement benefits.
  • Identify and enable opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance, and service improvements.
  • Provide guidelines and direction to the local team to execute procurement tactics and achieve benefits.
  • Drive annual budgeted cost savings, margin improvements, and other procurement benefits using best-in-class procurement techniques.
  • Develop and maintain an effective Procurement Management dashboard (KPIs) to track progress and report on savings and benefits.
  • Connect procurement and portfolio strategies to the business strategy.
  • Own the supplier relationships and take actions to deliver value through growth.
  • Responsible for reaching profitability targets.
  • Identify and interpret results, trends, business, and market environment and drive procurement performance.
  • Apply sophisticated procurement principles to realise best cost.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or similar degree preferred.
  • 8 years of procurement experience.
  • Fluent written and verbal English is a must, other languages are considered a plus.
  • Willingness to cooperate in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
