Procurement Director

CRH is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Director to lead our regional procurement efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the execution of our category strategies on a local level, managing the Operational Procurement Team, and identifying opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance, and service improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, margin improvements, and other procurement benefits.
- Lead the Operational Procurement Team to deliver high-quality procurement services and support the business strategy.
- Build strong relationships with internal customers, the local/regional category team, and external suppliers to create a framework for procurement initiatives and processes.
- Provide monthly reporting on savings, benefits, key initiatives, and projects through the development of an effective Procurement Management dashboard (KPIs).
- Connect procurement and portfolio strategies to the business strategy.
- Own the supplier relationships and take actions to deliver value through growth.
- Responsible for reaching profitability targets.
- Identify and interpret results, trends, business, and market environment and drive procurement performance.
- Apply sophisticated procurement principles to realise best cost.
- Bachelor's degree in business or similar degree preferred.
- 8 years of procurement experience.
- Fluent written and verbal English is a must, other languages are considered a plus.
- Willingness to cooperate in cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
