Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

ARM Group LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our land development projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, project management, and permitting services for a variety of land development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the development, design, and permitting of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Evaluate the economic, engineering, or pragmatic feasibility of projects based on site and/or building constraints.
  • Assess and mitigate project risks in advance of detailed engineering efforts.
  • Perform and/or check technical calculations and prepare project specifications.
  • Research regulations, codes, zoning ordinances, and other requirements to ensure project compliance.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs and permit applications to acquire approvals from regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain complex schedules, develop project timelines, and manage people and materials to complete jobs on schedule and within budget guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed models and technical documents to present project design/feasibility findings to stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports, client communications, and invoices, and consult with other internal partners as needed.
  • Assist the ARM Group LLC Business Development and Marketing team in preparing detailed technical proposals.
  • Act as the direct point of contact in communication with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Pro-actively recognize conditions and problems of non-routine nature and develop effective solutions.
  • Attend client and agency meetings and industry events.
  • Mentor staff and effectively manage a team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License in Virginia.
  • 8+ years of professional engineering and project management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using the Virginia Stormwater Management Regulations.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or similar stormwater software.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple, complex tasks.
  • Must have a strong technical competency and analytical ability.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaborate with peers when appropriate.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Understanding of financial models and budget management.
  • Reasonably proficient in MS Office 365, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
