Backend Python/AWS Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Backend Python/AWS Engineer who is proactive and articulate. The ideal candidate will focus on backend development, working extensively with databases and applying business logic to source data.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Utilize the Python framework to develop and maintain backend solutions.
- Transform source data by implementing business rules and generating new datasets.
- Construct data pipelines and deploy solutions in the AWS environment.
Technical Proficiency
Applicants should possess a strong understanding of Python, including:
- Decorators and their applications.
- Dict and List comprehensions.
- Lambda functions and their use cases.
- Generators and their benefits.
- String manipulation functions such as split() and join().
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- 6-8+ years of experience in software development.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Python development, specifically in backend roles involving databases and object-oriented programming (candidates will be required to complete a coding assessment).
- Experience with CI/CD tools for software deployment and creating lambda expressions.
- Familiarity with relational databases, including understanding primary and foreign keys, as well as indexing.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly S3, and navigating file paths and objects.
- Experience with both NoSQL and relational databases, including DynamoDB.
- Knowledge of message brokers such as Kafka.
