Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Communication: Greet and acknowledge patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule follow-up appointments, review patient insurance coverage, and notify patients of any necessary authorizations or referrals.
  • Financial Management: Collect co-payments, co-insurances, and past-due account balances, and explain financial requirements to patients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, scan patient information into the computer, and perform daily balancing of the cash drawer.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive patient information.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Abilities: Ability to maintain patient confidentiality, communicate with upset and frustrated patients, and demonstrate empathy and compassion.
Work Environment

The Front Office Representative will work in a normal office environment with some travel between various clinic locations.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the Center for Orthopedic and Research Excel's mission, vision, and values.
