As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to clients and the clinical staff. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing reception and clerical support in the clinic's front office
  • Scheduling appointments, taking messages, and responding to the needs of patients and callers
  • Assisting with new clients, including explaining paperwork, verifying completion, and obtaining insurance information
  • Scheduling new clients appropriately according to staff qualifications and insurance requirements
  • Processing payments for co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, self-pay, and missed appointments fees
  • Securing patient information and maintaining patient confidentiality

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years in an office environment, preferably in a mental health or medical setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Proven ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
