RN Triage Onsite Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Triage Onsite Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients in an office-based setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
  • Accurately calculate medication dosages and assist physicians and nurse practitioners as needed.
  • Provide telephone triage and properly document all patient, physician, and other contacts.
  • Participate in revenue cycle by ensuring authorizations and referrals are in place and notifying the Billing Associate of needs for further authorizations.
  • Document correct CPT and ICD-10 codes for services provided and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients and their families, demonstrating a caring attitude and treating all patients and their families with dignity and respect.
  • Follow universal precautions and OSHA standards and perform other assigned duties as directed.


Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current/valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state that they are providing services.
  • Maintain and possess a state RN license and must maintain CPR certification.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
