Job Description

Overview:

Casuda Canyon Restaurant Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for food production, ensuring adherence to all recipes guidelines, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for food production and ensuring adherence to all recipes guidelines
  • Ensures consistent quality, proper presentation technique, and food safety standards
  • Operates all kitchen equipment safely and correctly
  • Follows facility and chef's safe food handling guidelines
  • Follows all sanitation and nutrition practices
  • Follows all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
  • Oversees and assists the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Detailed oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and time management
  • Banquet experience is a plus
  • Strong familiarity with OSHA and all local Department of Health Regulations
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Outlook, Esysco, and MS Excel preferred
  • Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
  • Excellent communication skills

Physical Demands:

The Sous Chef will be required to stand for long periods, walk, and occasionally exert up to 40lbs of force.
