Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Administrative Manager to join our team at Neighborhood Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordination of the behavioral health department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage behavioral health schedules daily, ensuring timely access to care and efficient attention to no-shows and cancellations.
  • Collaborate with operations and scheduling departments to ensure clear understanding and application of behavioral health workflows and procedures.
  • Responsible for managing behavioral health provider schedules and coordinating provider leave and sick call outs.
  • Manage paid time off and leave for behavioral health clinic staff, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Implement and enforce Neighborhood Health policies and procedures, including HIPAA, facility operations, and OSHA.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, adhering to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Work with the Director of Operations and Behavioral Health Director to ensure provider schedules are filled, meeting productivity goals.
  • Handle behavioral health billing, claim issues, and prior authorizations, coordinating with CCNV CBO.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with behavioral health community partners, reviewing discharge paperwork to ensure alignment with clinic eligibility.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, monitoring outcomes within the department and reporting to the quality manager.
  • Provide administrative support for behavioral therapists, obtaining treatment records and assisting patients with specialty behavioral health appointments.
  • Document all services in the electronic medical record, adhering to organization standards.
  • Respond to internal and external communication in a timely manner.
  • Attend and participate in department and organization meetings, sharing knowledge and experiences.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience with managing schedules and provider templates.
  • Knowledge and experience managing billing issues, including insurance and claims.
  • Experience with information technology, electronic health records, and behavioral health records.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, or Social Work preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish preferred.
  • 2-3 years direct experience working in a healthcare or community-based social service setting.
  • Experience within a primary care environment, preferably with a Federally Qualified Health Center.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and patient population.
  • Proficient with Microsoft platforms and products, Google Suite, Teams, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all aspects of information, adhering to practice, state, and federal regulations.
