Job Title: Behavioral Health Director

Culmen International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Director to lead our Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement mission.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Director will be responsible for the daily leadership and oversight of all clinical services provided within the program. This includes making mental health care decisions, developing services to improve the life quality of the minors in care, and providing clinical training as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the well-being of youth in care and arrange for appropriate services as needed.
  • Participate with community members to expand on agency network for client services.
  • Ensure the quality and enhancement of child care services in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to utilize strength-based and culturally sensitive practices.
  • Oversee the submission of incident reports and documentation required for program compliance.
  • Provide information that supports identifying needs, strengths, and areas of growth for youth adaptation.
  • Work alongside clinical leads to identify goals, strengths, and needs in the development of risk assessments, crisis plans, and plans of care.
  • Provide ongoing clinical support with de-escalation techniques, crisis interventions, and logistics of emergency situations.
  • Ensure clinical staff receive ongoing training to enhance clinical skills.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, sociology, or relevant behavioral science.
  • Minimum of three years clinical employment experience in behavioral science.
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of two years experience working with youth in inpatient, residential, or detention facilities, or those with high-risk backgrounds.
  • Must be licensed to provide clinical services in the state where the care provider is located.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to successfully clear a background check.
  • Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
  • Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
