Ultra Maritime is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing flow charts, work instructions, and manufacturing BOMs.
  • Supervise manufacturing processes to ensure quality work is done in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training.
  • Establish safety procedures and protocols that prioritize worker well-being and minimize risk.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in engineering, production, and share knowledge with coworkers.
  • Lead process improvement projects to meet business objectives and deliver quantifiable results using lean and six sigma methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years of experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, including driving to root cause and determining best practice methodologies for manufacturing.
  • Ability to communicate with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
  • Knowledge of DMAIC, PFMEA, and other quality tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong skills in design analysis and design for manufacturing.
  • Must be a team player with good communication skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in MS Office.
