About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Pinnacle Treatment Centers. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and helping them achieve long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Intakes and Assessments: Conduct thorough intakes and assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide Counseling Services: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address patients' clinical and special needs.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Develop and implement treatment plans that effectively help patients meet their short- and long-term goals.
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Monitor patients' progress and document any changes in their condition, including relapse indicators.
  • Collaborate with Treatment Team: Collaborate with the treatment team, including physicians, physician extenders, and other counselors, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' treatment plans, progress, and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in a relevant field or a majority of approved counselor certification courses, license, or certification necessary to provide counseling services.
  • Experience: Less than 2 years of experience in counseling or a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: LCSW, CDAC, CADC, or other relevant certifications.
  • Behaviors: Enthusiastic, team player, dedicated, and committed to providing high-quality care.
