Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative is a vital role in the healthcare industry, responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and access to medical services. As a key member of the Sentara team, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient identity and select the correct patient record
  • Review schedules and physician orders to register patients for the appropriate service
  • Scan important documents, such as insurance cards and IDs, and verify demographic and insurance information
  • Explain and complete complex regulatory and compliance documents
  • Collect co-payments, deposits, and outstanding balances
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two Years of Customer Service and/or Data Entry Experience
  • Proficiency in Keyboarding
