Position Summary

Company Expectations

Work autonomously while recognizing the importance of communication and coordination with other staff and departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine reports concerning incidents, accidents, and adverse occurrences, guiding strategies for risk reduction.
  • Conduct risk evaluations, gathering and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and industry trends.
  • Review and evaluate risk management policies and procedures; propose recommendations and implement enhancements.
  • Prepare and present risk assessment reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior management.
  • Identify and develop training initiatives related to risk management trends.
  • Address inquiries and requests regarding insurance coverage, including fulfilling Certificate of Insurance requests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Certified Medical Assistant and/or completion of Medical Assistant training.
Experience:
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in direct patient care is preferred, such as experience as a Registered Nurse or Medical Assistant.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management policies and best practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for report and policy preparation.
Equipment Utilized: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, and telephones.

Work Environment: Ability to remain seated for extended periods. High volume of phone communication.

Physical Requirements: Must have the manual dexterity to operate office machinery including computers and calculators; ability to stoop and bend to manage files and supplies; mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Involves handling of sharps and chemicals. Multiple staff demands and deadlines may induce stress.
